Problems sending Quick Messages
If you have problems sending iCu2 Quick Messages (QMs). You wil find possible causes and fixes below :
If you are seeing an Error Message that states "The Message Could Not Be Sent". It means that your webcam is not connected or that your webcam is not set up correctly for iCu2. To fix this, either:
- Go into Settings - Options - Video on iCu2 and set up your camera correctly
- Reboot your computer so that your camera is re-detected (assuming it has crashed)
- Go into Tools - Options - Video and change the selector to "Do Not Send Video"
- When sending a QM, change the Attachment Type to "None" in the QM Composer
If you are seeing an Error Message that states "Send Failed". It means that the person you are trying to QM has used all of their allotted space for Offline Quick Messages.
This can be caused when the person you are trying to send Quick Messages to has:
- an incorrectly configured Router / Firewall
- received a large amount of Offline Quick Messages and has not emptied their Inbox
- has not logged onto iCu2 for a while and their allotted space for offline Quick Messages has been used
To resolve this, the person that you are having issues sending Quick Messages to must do one (or more) of the following:
- Setup their router or firewall to work in conjuction with iCu2
- Remove messages from their Inbox (either by saving or deleting those Quick Messages)
