Server password incorrect or cannot be verified

If you are seeing a window appear that states "Login Error", "Server password incorrect or cannot be verified" please read below:

This error message can appear for the following reasons:

1: Because 1 or more iCu2 servers are offline
2: Because your Internet Service Provider is having issues reaching the iCu2 Servers (routing issues, etc).
3: Some of you iCu2 files have become corrupt and need to be replaced.

Issues 1 and 2 are normally resolved fairly quickly, so we suggest waiting 30-40 minutes to see if the issue is resolved itself. If you are still having issues after 30-40 minutes, please contact the iCu2 Support Team to enquire as to whether there are still server issues, or known issues with your Internet Service Provider.

Issue 3 is very rare and you should only proceed below after checking with the iCu2 Support Team:

ONLY PERFORM THE FIX BELOW AFTER TALKING TO iCu2 TECH SUPPORT, as you will lose your trivia score and profile.

1: Turn off iCu2
2: Go into your iCu2 folder (Right click on your iCu2 desktop icon, choose Properties, then choose Find Target or Open File Location)
3: Locate and delete the file called auth
4: Locate and delete the file called server.lif (not servers and not servers2)
5: Wait 30 minutes without using iCu2 and without uninstalling/reinstalling iCu2 or deleting any more files.

(If you do not wait the full 30 minutes your registration code might be rejected. So it is of paramount importance that you wait the full 30 minutes)

6: Start iCu2 and re-enter your registration code when prompted. If you have misplaced your registration code, click here to retrieve it.

Performing the fix above will remove you from other people's Pal Lists but you will still have your own Pal List, so you must contact those people and ask them to re-add you to their Pal List.

Note for Trial Users
WARNING : Trial users should NOT use the procedure above because it will EXPIRE the trial version.
