Accton CheetahAccess AC-IG1004 Internet Gateway and ICUII

The information below will assist you in setting one or more computer on  iCu2 with an Accton CheetahAccess Router (this is for the  Accton CheetahAccess AC-IG1004 Internet Gateway, but should work on all Accton Routers)..

*Always make sure you have the latest firmware installed on your Router before proceeding (unless otherwise stated). Check your Router manufacturer's Support Area on their website to obtain the newest firmware.
If you have only 1 computer to setup, or if this is the first computer you are setting up for iCu2:

On iCu2:

1: Go into Tools - Options - Ports

2: Make sure you are set to "Network" connection

3: In Normal Ports and Network Ports areas make sure you have:

Primary Port: TCP 2000
Secondary Port: TCP 2001
ie:
Normal Ports - iCu2 Listens for connections on THIS COMPUTER at the following ports
Primary (TCP): 2000Secondary (TCP): 2001

Network / Router / Firewall Ports Routed to this computer (IP Address: 192.168.1.xxx)
Primary (TCP): 2000Secondary (TCP): 2001

4: Also, take note of your IP Address. It most likely will not be the same as the one above. You have to take note of the IP address you see in your iCu2 window.

5:Click on OK and close iCu2

On the Router:

1: Log into the Router's Admin Area (on internet explorer type in 192.168.2.1 and hit enter or go)

2: Type in your password for the Router (by default there is no password, so leave it blank unless you have set a specific password) then click on Login

3: Click on Setup (at the top of the screen)

4: Click on Virtual Server (left side of the screen)

5 Make an entry that looks similar to this in the first empty row:

Private IP:Private PortTypePublic Port:
IP address of computer 12000TCP2000

6: Click on Enter to save the changes

7: Now make another entry (retaining the previous entry), similar to this:

Private IP:Private PortTypePublic Port:
IP address of computer 12000TCP2000
IP address of computer 12001TCP2001

8: Click on Enter to save the changes

9: Try iCu2

If you want to add a second computer / iCu2 to your home network, make sure you have setup the first computer as detailed above, then do this to add the second computer:

On the second computer's iCu2:

1: Go into Tools - Options - Ports

2: Make sure you are set to "Network" connection

3: In Normal Ports and Network Ports areas make sure you have:

Primary Port: TCP 2002
Secondary Port: TCP 2003
ie:

Normal Ports - iCu2 Listens for connections on THIS COMPUTER at the following ports
Primary (TCP): 2002Secondary (TCP): 2003

Network / Router / Firewall Ports Routed to this computer (IP Address: 192.168.1.xxx)
Primary (TCP): 2002Secondary (TCP): 2003

4: Also, take note of your IP Address. It most likely will not be the same as the one above. You have to take note of the IP address you see in your iCu2 window.

5:Click on OK and close iCu2

On the Router:

1: Log into the Router's Admin Area (on internet explorer type in 192.168.2.1 and hit enter or go)

2: Type in your password for the Router (by default there is no password, so leave it blank unless you have set a specific password) then click on Login

3: Click on Setup (at the top of the screen)

4: Click on Virtual Server (left side of the screen)

5 Make another entry (retaining the previous entries), similar to this:

Private IP:Private PortTypePublic Port:
IP address of computer 12000TCP2000
IP address of computer 12001TCP2001
IP address of computer 22002TCP2002

6: Click on Enter to save the changes

7: Now make another entry (retaining the previous entry), similar to this:

Private IP:Private PortTypePublic Port:
IP address of computer 12000TCP2000
IP address of computer 12001TCP2001
IP address of computer 22002TCP2002
IP address of computer 22003TCP2003

8: Click on Enter to save the changes

9: Try iCu2

If you want to add more computers / iCu2s to your home network, it is simply a case of following the steps again for the second computer and changing the settings so that each computer/iCu2 has it's own unique values. Ie, computer 3 would have:

Primary Port: TCP 2004
Secondary Port: TCP 2005

being forwarded to the local IP address of that computer.

Please remember that it is not iCu2's responsibility to assist you in setting up your Firewall or Networking Device. We can provide you with the basic information. However, any problems you encounter or any questions you have should be directed at the manufacturer of that Firewall / Router. All fixes you attempt are done at your own risk.
