Acer 11g Broadband Router Wlan-G-RU2 and ICUII

The information below will assist you in setting one or more computer on  iCu2 with an Acer Router (this is for the  Acer 11g Broadband Router Wlan-G-RU2, but should work on all Acer Routers)..

*Always make sure you have the latest firmware installed on your Router before proceeding (unless otherwise stated). Check your Router manufacturer's Support Area on their website to obtain the newest firmware.
If you have only 1 computer to setup, or if this is the first computer you are setting up for iCu2:

On iCu2:

2: Make sure you are set to "Network" connection

3: In Normal Ports and Network Ports areas make sure you have:

iCu2-30.0.0.020022002TCP(computer 2's IP address)

10: Click on Apply

11: Make another entry similar to this for iCu2-4 (retaining the previous settings you had made) :

6: Try iCu2

If you want to add more computers / iCu2s to your home network, it is simply a case of following the steps again for the second computer and changing the settings so that each computer/iCu2 has it's own unique values. Ie, computer 3 would have:

Primary Port: TCP 2004
Secondary Port: TCP 2005

being forwarded to the local IP address of that computer.

Please remember that it is not iCu2's responsibility to assist you in setting up your Firewall or Networking Device. We can provide you with the basic information. However, any problems you encounter or any questions you have should be directed at the manufacturer of that Firewall / Router. All fixes you attempt are done at your own risk.
