Alcatel and Thomson SpeedTouch 530 with ICUII

The information below will assist you in setting up your Alcatel / Thomson (they are both the same) SpeedTouch 530 ADSL modem with iCu2:

On iCu2:
1: Go into Tools - Options - Ports
2: Make sure you are set to "Network" connection
3: In Normal Ports and Network Ports make sure you have:
Primary Port: TCP 2000
Secondary Port: TCP 2001
4: Just below that, take note of the IP address it states (it should be something like 10.0.0.xxx)
5:Click on OK and close iCu2

On the Alcatel / Thomson Speedtouch 530:

Connect to the router....
In Windows this is done by selecting Start | Run. In the box that appears type
Telnet <ip address of router>
E.g.
Telnet 10.0.0.138
Press enter or OK.
The telnet application will load and you should be prompted for the username and password. These are the same username and password that you set when configuring the router for the first time.

You should see then the prompt : =>

type there :

In theory, you do not really need the UDP 2002 / 2003 entries. However, it is a good idea to use them if you have Pal List issues.
